I.              Race Information

          i.              Race Date: 7:30 a.m. Sunday, March 2nd, 2025

        ii.              Race Place: Nanbin Road and Babin Road, Chongqing

      iii.              Event Capacity:

Marathon: 25,000 people

Mini Run:10,000 people

II.              Registration Qualification

          i.              Age Requirement

1.        All marathon contestants shall be at least 20 years old (born before Dec 31, 2005)

2.        Minors under the age of 16 must sign the Statement of Contestant by their guardian or legal representative to register for the competition, and minors under the age of 13 must be accompanied by the guardian.

        ii.              Competition Experience

Marathon runners must have completed a marathon or half marathon event certified by the China Athletics Association between January 1, 2022 (inclusive) and October 31, 2024 (inclusive) (virtual marathon results are invalid).

      iii.              Physical Requirement

Road race is not only a high-intensity and long-distance competitive sport, but also a high-risk competitive event. It has high requirements for the physical condition of the contestants. The contestants should be healthy and have the basis for long-term running exercise. Participants can choose one of marathon or mini run according to their physical condition and ability.

Anyone who has any of the following diseases is prohibited to participate in the race:

1. Congenital heart disease and rheumatic heart disease.

2. Hypertension and cerebrovascular disease.

3. Myocarditis and other heart diseases.

4. Coronary artery disease and server irregular heartbeat.

5. Diabetes.

6. Having cold symptoms 30 days prior to the race.

7. Drinking lots of hard alcohol or lack of sleep the night before the race.

8. Pregnant.

9. Other diseases not suitable for sports.

The Organizing Committee strongly recommends that participants go to medical institutions for physical examination and purchase personal accident insurance.

III.              Information of Registration

          i.              Time

1.        Mass Runner

1)        Time of registration: Nov 8^th , 2024 to Nov 15^th , 2024;

2)        Time for publicizing the lot-drawing results: Dec 5^th ,2024

2.        Run for Charity: Start from Nov 8^th ,2024, First come, first served.

2.        Sign up

3.        Choose the event

4.        Read the Statement of Contestant

5.        Answer the question

6.        Fill in personal information

7.        Pay the pre-registration fee and wait for the lottery

IV.              Guaranteed Entry:

1.        2020 & 2021 Chongqing Marathon Reserved Runners

1)        The organizing committee will reserve one guaranteed entry with unlimited validity for all runners who have qualified for the Chongqing Marathon in 2020 and 2021 but have not participated; Obtaining the entry through any channel (including but not limited to official website, WeChat official account registration, sponsor, etc.) shall be deemed as the guaranteed entry used. If participants apply for withdrawal after successful registration, the guaranteed entry will no longer be reserved. 

2)        Participants must register and complete payment of fees to be eligible for qualification.

3)        2025 Chongqing Marathon will reserve 6000 places for the participants who obtain the guaranteed entry. If there are more than 6000 pre-registration participants who have guaranteed entries, qualification will be allocated by drawing lots among them.

2.        Guaranteed entry of qualifying event.

1)        Top 500 male and female runners of 2024 Chongqing （Changjiahui） Half Marathon are eligible to claim guaranteed non-complimentary entry to 2025 Chongqing Marathon.

2)        Guaranteed entries not submitted during pre-registration window are forfeited. 

3)        Runners who have guaranteed entry of qualifying event will be qualified directly after they register and complete payment of fees.

3.        There are 500 guaranteed entries of charity runners, first come, first served.

4.        There will not be guaranteed entries of time-qualifying.

V.              Race Packet Pick-up

Please refer to the " Pick-up Instructions" published on the official website, WeChat, and Weibo of the event.

VI.              Important Notes

          i.              Participants should fill in the registration information truthfully and accurately; The organizing committee will verify the authenticity of the information and reserve the right to cancel his or her qualification if he or she provide false information.

        ii.              The registration fee must be paid in full at the time of pre-registration. The organizing committee will return the registration fee to the original payment account of players who lost out the draw within 5 working days after the lottery draw.

      iii.              Please log in to the official website of Chongqing Marathon or Wechat to query the registration results according to the time announced in the registration instructions.

      iv.              The package will not be given, and the registration fee will not be refunded if the runners who are eligible for the event are unable to participate.

        v.              The organizing Committee and the media/sponsors designated by the Organizing Committee to use participants’ portrait and all photos, images, videos and other personal information for the organization and promotion of the competition free of charge.

      vi.              If the event is postponed or canceled due to force majeure, the organizing committee will not bear the relevant economic losses incurred by the players (including but not limited to air tickets, train ticket cancellation and rebooking fees, accommodation cancellation and modification fees, etc.).
