7.Rules
A. Adopting the latest Chinese Athletics Association’s contest rules.
B. Race roll call: All athletes must report at the designated areas for pre-race check 60 minutes before the race. Invited athletes must report to thedesignated marathon roll call area with their original passport 40 minutesbefore race start.
C. Starting guns: Each competition will start on different starting guns. Full Marathon (segment A and B) will start at 8:00 am; Half Marathon will start at 8:05 am. Timing induction belts will be set at each starting line of Full Marathon and Half Marathon. Competitors must set off from the corresponding timing induction belt (starting line), or would not get official records.
D. Closing time and distance (based on Gun time):
To ensuretheracesecure and smooth, the raceroutewill beclosedtotrafficatsuccessivesectionsduringthe raceperiod. After finishing one section of race, the transportation would be resumed. If an athlete could not finish race before section’s closing time, stop racing immediately and leave the race route in case of danger. Athletes who withdraw the race could take the ferry buses to the program ending point.

Note: If there are some special circumstances and emergencies, the committee have the right to close the door in advance , participants must obey the commands.
E.Timing chip
Athletes must wear the timing chip according to the instruction. Anyone who do not use the chip or not set off at the designated area will have no official timing records and the committee would not response for that situation. Timing chip will start recording the instance after athlete’s passing the timing induction belt on each corresponding starting line(net time). Time chipsensor mat is set at start point, the distal turning point and every 5km along the route in both half and full marathon course. Athletes are required to pass through all of the sensor mats. Any athlete, who misses any of the sensor mats, will not be given an official race result. (DQ) Runners must run past each sensor mat with a timing chip, as failure to do so will cancel the runner’s race result.
F. Timing chip recycling: turn in the chips to the cloakroom after race and claim the finisher’s T-shirts.
G. Clothing access
Marathon, half marathon runners may deposit personal belongings in accordance with the provisions of the corresponding point, valuables should not be stored in the package (such as mobile phones, valid documents, cash, credit cards, keys, PDAs, etc.). Runners shall collect their deposited items before 15:00 on the race day. Thereafter runners may collect their items at the committee office the next day onward. Items that not claim within 3 days,the committee will deal with as unclaimed.
H. Doping test on athletes shall be conducted under the regulation of the IAAF and the Chinese Athletics Association.
I. Medical rescue:
i. At the starting point, along the way (5 km from every 2.5 km) and the end of the fixed medical points, free of charge for the players to provide medical services;
ii. Set up moving AED medical rescue service along the track;
iii. Set up medical service stations along the route and medical service volunteers along the way to help medical care, maintain the order of the game, participants can always ask them for help;
iv. In the event, if a medical representative or a general medical officer ordering an athlete to withdraw from the competition, the athlete shall perform immediately.

K. Toilet, Temporary shower and Environment conservation
i. Movable toilets are set at starting point, race route(3km and every 2.5km from 5km to 40km) and ending point
ii. Temporary showers are set in nearby area at 15km, 20km, 25km, 30km, 35km and 40km.
iii. To protect the environment, please do not urinate or defecate anywhere outside the designated fields. Do not litter at all and throw waste wrappers, cans and rubbish into the trashcans and bags.
L. Chongqing International Marathon Committee will set cameras in starting and ending points, every 5km along the course and the turning points to monitor the whole race. If anyone goes against theregulation on following behalves, his/her race record will be canceled, and will be banned on participation in Chongqing International Marathon for two years and the case will be reported to Chinese Athletes Association. For a severe violation,athletes will face a lifetime ban.
i. False declaration of age (before, during or after the race); Getting a runner to run in your name;
ii. Participants who run with a chip belonging to another runner;
iii. Not following the stated start time, not starting in the allotted pen stated in the terms and conditions;
iv. Irregularities at the start time;
v. Did not stop after past the cutoff time, or quit the race but return later to continue the race;
vi. Did not run along the designated route(Such as the mini participants run full marathon route, half participants run full marathon route),taking a shorter route, taking other form of transportation along any part of the designated route;
vii.Not abiding the rules, attempting to pass the finish point the second time to collect the finisher’s gifts ;
viii. Did not finish the event but get finisher’s gifts by passing the end point privately.
ix.The marathon and half marathon athletes who didn’t carry themselves’ race number bib to the end point;
x. Unauthorized bib, receive the race-finished goods with others bib at the end point;
xi. To alter ,cover or transfer the race number bib;
xii. Passing the end point with the timing chip which is non organizing committee to distribute;
xiii.To complete the game by relay;
xiv.Do not obey the command of staff, interference events, , fights, mob;
xv.Not civilized behavior (such as urinating, littering);
xvi.Other acts that violate the rules;
xvii.Using false information to obtain the qualification or transferring the race number bib to others after the registration , will be banned for life in the Chongqing International Marathon, and reporting the violator’s information to China Athletic Association for record . What’s more, the violator should be responsible for all consequences in the race.

8.Placing and Awards

Winners must produce evidence of identification to claim their prizes. Should any winner be disqualified due to a failed drugs test result, the results of that day’s race will not be amended.
The prize money shall be awarded in RMB equivalent to the US dollars (According to event day’s exchange rate).
ii. Chongqing citizens category: Based on gun time result, select top male / female 50 placing. Top 12 male / female runners will be awarded with cash and certification as follows (unit: RMB):
From 13 placing on ward, runners will be awarded with a certificate and souvenir.

iii.Award winner name list will announce at the official website within one week after the event. One week after the announcement, the organizing committee will contact winner’s base on the contact mode provided by runners with the award claiming information, and runners are to claim their cash award as stated in the procedure. (Original personal ID is needed for collection of award).
Ⅳ.Athletes who have finished the race within the closing time shall receive finishers’ T-shirt and may go to the event official website to check their race results and download their time certification 24 hours later after the race.
Ⅴ.If an athlete is awarded in multiple courses, certifications will be issued accordingly, however, cash award will only issue the higher of two placing, no accumulate cash award will be issue.
Ⅵ.No cash award will be issued during the course. The organizing committee would withhold 20% of the runners’ prize money according to China's tax law.
Ⅶ.Mini marathon
All participants are given event T-shirt, bib and participant certification(no chip, participants are to filled-in their finisher timing according to the official timer).
Ⅷ. Registration
A. Age requirement:
i. Full Marathon requires an age of 20 and above (birth year after2000)
ii. Half marathon requires an age of 16 and above (birth year after 2002), minors under 18 to participate in the competition shall be signed by the guardian or legal agent.
iii.Mini marathon and parent-child marathon have no age limit. Age of 13 and below must co-register with at leastone parent. Every parent must hold a valid ID (passport, military ID) for registration.
iv. Competitors of 65 and above to participate in the competition shall issue a Health Certificate and warrant signed by family members.
B. Participants health requirements: A marathon is a long-distance high-intensity sports, it is also a high-risk event, the physical condition of the participants must be healthy and participants should be in good health, and have engaged in long distance running training. Participants shall choose either to enroll in marathon, half marathon or mini-marathonaccording to their physical condition and capability.
Runners with the following physiclal status should not participate in the race:
i. Congenital heart disease and rheumatic heart disease;
ii. Hypertension and cerebrovascular diseases;
iii. Myocarditis and other heart disease;
iv. Coronary artery disease and severe arrhythmia;
v. Too high or too low blood sugar in diabetic patients;
vi. Two weeks before the tournament days to catch a cold;
vii. Pregnant woman;
viii. Other patients with any disease not suitable for sports.
9. How to register:
i. Each participant is to fill in the required personal information correctly. Specific registration procedures are in Chongqing Marathon official website. (www.cqmarathon.com)
D. Registration fees
a. Marathon and Half-marathon Participant: Rmb 200 per person.
b. Mini Marathon Participant: Rmb 100 per person.
c. Charity run participant: RMB 2000 per person.
E. Issuance of race items
Qualifiedcompetitors shall claim the race items in committeeassigned area. The specific time and place are to be published in the official website before the race.
10. Insurance:
All participants and staffs are insured with organizational liability insurance. Substitutes and unqualified individual will not be covered by the committee insurance. Organizing Committee strongly recommends that participants seek an appropriate medical check up before the race, and be insured with a personal accident insurance.
